July Favorites!

Hello again! Yes, I am back with a new favorites post! I can't believe how fast July flew by! The days were constantly zooming by me. July was definitely a very good month! I have some new products that I am so excited to share and talk about. Can I dig in? Yes? Yes? Okay lets go!

Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks in "Nude" "1995" and "Vintage Rose"

YES! I am going straight to lips because I just adore these lipsticks so much! I finally jumped on the Gerard Cosmetics wagon because the pictures I see on instagram were pulling me in. I went on their website and was thrilled to stumble upon their 3 lipsticks for only $29.00! One lipstick was $19.00 but I didn't really want to get only one because I was so indecisive! I picked out my three colors and added it to my cart. I started reading reviews on it and I hesitated for a while before getting it because there were so many mixed reviews on this brand. I slept on it before making my decision. I think in about a day or two I decided to just try it because I won't know it unless I just try it out for myself. I went back onto the website and the sale was gone! I was so upset at myself for not just getting it. I decided to just get one to try but I was secretly hoping the sale would come back and it did! After a day I went back to their website and it was back and I did not hesitate and bought it. And that was literally the best decision ever. I was never a nudey or light colored lipstick kinda girl but these lipsticks are the BOMB! I wore it every day after I received it in the mail. It arrived pretty fast as well. It came in a nice box and a very nice message. It was so worth the money and I am going to live in these lipsticks for awhile.

Swatches from left to right: Nude, Vintage Rose, and 1995

The color Nude has a peachy tone which does not make you look pale at all. Especially if your lip color is naturally pigmented, it'll add a nice peachy but still nude color to your lips. The Vintage Rose is a nice pink and muave look. The pink isn't too bright which I like a lot. And 1995 is created by Jaclyn Hill a phenomenal Youtube guru. Her make-up looks are to die for. This color was inspired by the 1990s. I absolutely adore this lipstick. It gives me a dark and grunge look. This is a nice color for fall but I have been rocking this lipstick in the summer. I love it that much!

Maybelline Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

I've heard so many good reviews about this foundation and I really wanted to try it out. After using it for the whole month, it is a really good foundation. It blends well with just my fingers or a brush. It also covers up my blemishes really well. It claims to stay on for 24 hours and I really think that is true. It always stays on until the end of the night for me. It is very lightweight. I hate foundations that feels heavy and make me feel like I have layers and layers of make-up on. The only thing I don't really like about this foundation is the smell. Once it's on my face it doesn't smell anymore but, I just don't like the smell when I am applying it on my face. Overall, it's a really good and affordable foundation.

Lorac Pro Contour Palette & Pro Contour Brush

OMG! I got it! The new Lorac contour palette! This contour palette is really the best! It is definitely a good palette for me because I am a newbie at contouring. This palette has three different shades of contour and highlight. There is is a medium contour color, deep color, and a light color. It is good to have different colors because people's skin color varies and it is good to have a shade that will illuminate your skin color. It also comes with a very nice brush which is so nice! I have been eyeing the Kat Von D's Shade and Light palette but it is quite pricey for the palette alone. The brush had to be bought separately so $45 for the Lorac palette was a steal for me! This palette also comes with a how to booklet which is great for someone who is starting off. Being someone who already uses and loves Lorac's products, this palette did not disappoint me at all. The colors are just amazing. It is so pigmented and does not make you look patchy at all. I love that the medium color is bigger because it is the perfect shade for me. Although I adore Lorac's sleek and simple black and white packaging, the material can get kind of dirty fast. Mines already got dirty even though I tried so hard to take good care of it. Overall, it was my first contour palette and I love it!

Julep Highlighting powder in Champagne

First off, for this summer I have been all about highlighting. I got to admit, I was never a fan of highlighting which means, I don't really know how to use it. But of course with make-up you can never go wrong. It's always good to experiment until you can achieve a look that you are actually satisfied with. With that being said, I have been using Julep's Highlighting Powder as a highlighter for my cheekbones under the eyebrows. I received this product in my Julep's subscription box and was struggling to make it work. I find it to be more useful now that it is summer. It is a very subtle highlighter for me so I find it really easy to apply on and not look like a shimmery mess. I especially love applying it on my cheekbones because it really highlights and accentuate the highest point of my cheekbones.

Em Make-up Mood Enhancer in Golden Candlelight

This is an oldie and I've had it for awhile now but I just couldn't find a way to work it. I mentioned that I have been obsessed with higlighting for this summer so I find that applying this to the apple of my cheeks makes my cheekbones glow even more. I use it as a base for my highlighter and it just brightens and illumintes at the right spot.

Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream

Yes, I have very bad eye bags. So bad that I think nothing can repair it. But I was really on the hunt to find something that can help my eye bags out. I saw this on a Target run and I got it just to try it out. I have been using it for the whole month of July and I think it is definitely helping. I squeeze a small amount of it on my finger and I blend starting from my inner corner to the outer part of my eye. Of course it doesn't work right away because it takes time to repair and I am patiently waiting until my under eyes are not so baggy anymore.
