Lipstick Addiction!

Hi there! So I've decided to change some things up on my blog. The introduction post that I had up when I first started my blog was that I was only going to talk about subscriptions boxes and the beauty products that I received from it. I also said I wanted to be more involved with my blog because this was something I've always wanted to do and I want to make it something important in my life. Doing the subscriptions boxes was a good start to my blog but, I realized that it wasn't going to help me become more involve with my blog if I only receive a box once a month I want to be able to post more than one blog post a month. I want to share everything I love about beauty on here. Beauty is a topic I love and being able to share something I love makes me feel happy. Sow ith that being said, let me start with my all time favorites, lipsticks!

Lipstick junkies, what are your favorite go to lipsticks? Lipsticks comes in so many different types of colors and shapes, it's so hard to choose just one. Therefore, I want to talk about my top 6 go to lipsticks!

1) Nars- Dragon Girl $26.00

If you can see the original size of this lip pencil, you'll know it's not this small. I love this lip pencil so much! I use it most of the time as you can see from the picture. When I first got this lip pencil I was so addicted to it. I use it everyday when I go to work. I use it on the weekends. I use it even if I just have to go run a quick errand. It's just so velvety, creamy, and luscious. It does not dry my lips out at all. The color f it is red. It's bold and stylish. It has a very nice matte finish to it. It's super easy to apply because it's shape like a pencil. You can easily maneuver your way around with this lip pencil. It is on the pricey side but I can assure you that it is totally worth it.

2) Mac- Ruby Woo $16.00

I recently jumped on the MAC lipsticks carousel and decided to try out a lipstick after watching a beauty guru mentioned it on Youtube. This was my first investment at a MAC store and I am so happy that I did. First of all, this is a beautiful color. It has a nice shade of red to it. I am a red lipstick kind of girl and this one does not fail me. It's matte and can be a little drying to the lips but nothing but a little lip balm hydration to do the trick. The price for the lipsticks are fine in my opinion. The smell is lovely. I like it when my lipsticks smells good because sometimes I can't take it if the smell is too much. It is an aboslutely amazing lipstick and I can't wait to continue using it.

3) Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick- Jeffree $20.00

I went on a crazy rampage for this beautiful lipstick when I watched a Youtube Guru talked about this lipstick in one of her monthly favorites' video. When I saw the color on her lips I immediately said "I want it!" I'm not much of a liquid lipstick kind of girl but I really wanted to try it out. If it looked that good on her I was thinking it'll look the same on me. When I finally got a hold of this lipstick, I was ecstatic. It's exactly like she said, it was beautiful and matte to the finish. The reason I don't really like liquid lipsticks or lipgloss was because it never really gave me that matte finish but this one did. Oh it did. When you first apply it on, it's a pretty pink but after a few seconds the color dries and gives a matte feeling. It has kind of a sticky feeling but not the super sticky kind. The design of the lipstick is to die for. I expected nothing less from Kat Von D. Definitely a go to lipstick when I'm trying to go for a soft and sultry look.

4) Kate Moss- 10 Rosetto/Rogue $4.00-$5.00

This was one of my first few lipsticks when I started my lipstick collection. It's an oldie but goodie. It is a Kate Moss collection for Rimmel London. You can find it at almost any drugstore. It is a dark red color. I used this color almost everyday before I purchased my Nars lip pencil. This lipstick will last me the whole day. It's matte and creamy. The smell is so delightful. That was a big plus for me. For a drugstore product it is not bad at all. I love it and I will continue to reach out for this amazing lipstick no matter what occasion it may be.

5) and 6) Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lip color- Left-Vivid Rose & Right- Shocking Coral $4.00-$5.00

When I first purchased these lipsticks I fell in love with the colors. They are both so pretty in their own way. Like I mentioned earlier I'm more of a red lipstick kind of girl so when I saw these I knew it was out of my zone. But, I'm always up for trying new things. Especially when it comes to trying out beauty products. I'm so glad I decided to invest in these. First of all, for a drugstore lipstick, the price already got me. Second, the color was beautiful. And third, the application of these two beautiful lipstick was amazing. It was matte and creamy. It was just the way I liked my lipstick. Lately I haven't been using it much but I think I will be reaching for these two more.

In order from Left to Right:
Maybelline's Vivid Rose & Shocking Coral, Nars' Dragon Girl, Kate Moss' Rosetto/ Rogue, Kat Von D's Jeffree, and Mac's Ruby Woo.

UnBoxing- February GlossyBox Box

I know it's March but who's excited for glossybox?! I know am! I'm ecstatic!!! What is the deal with their boxes? It's so cute! Just take a look at it! It has the Valentine's Day theme going on. I love it!  This month's box was amazing. Overall I really enjoyed each and every product I received in my box. I'm always up for trying new things. You can't be afraid when it comes to beauty. There's just so many new things to try. You might just find a new favorite. Now, lets check out what's in this month's box shall we.

Yogi Flow Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil Foaming Shower Gel- $15.00

I absolutely adore this product. The smell is amazing. The smell really lasts the whole time. I love a smell that lasts. I also really like that it's foaming because it makes me feel more cleaner. After receiving this product I've used it for the whole month of February. Now I have an empty shower gel bottle. Time to invest in a new one!

Scalisi SkinCare Cleanser and Exfoliator-$25.00

I don't know if I really gave this product a chance. I have stopped using cleansers and exfoliators after I invested in my Clarisonic Mia 2. I was hesitant because I was scared that it would not go well with my skin and break me out. My skin wasn't in the best condition lately and so I decided to give it a try. Why not? It was a new product I've never heard of. It was a 2 in 1 which was a plus. I liked the simple and elegant purple exterior of the bottle. I decided to give it a try. There wasn't really much of a difference. I still had my acnes and pimples. After using it though I felt like it broke me out even more, I've stopped using it ever since. Maybe I'll give it a try again and we'll see. Not that it's a bad product, it probably just wasn't good for my skin type.

Unwash Bio-Cleansing Conditioner- $36.00 (Full size)

I am kind of bum that I didn't get a full size bottle for this product. It seems like a really promising product and I wanted to see if it's any good. I've read reviews on this product and they were good. I've tried it a couple of times and it made my hair very soft. The smell has a very nice scent. The bottle itself was white and black with a very pretty design on the front. It was very simple and promising.
l'll really have to try to invest in a bigger bottle next time.

Tinties Lip Butter and Julep Nail Polish "Hartleigh"- $14.00 each

I have never heard of tinties lip butter before but the exterior design of this lip balm was so vintage! It smells nice and the application of the balm was easy to use. The only downside I have of this is that I have to use my hand to apply it on my lips. I'm not a big fan of those kinds of lip balms but I will give this a try for a few days. I'll leave it in my purse and we'll see if it's a go to for me. For the nail polish, I was kind of disappointed that I got another "Hartleigh" nail polish in this box. I had already received the nail polish in my Julep box. I wished they could have put another different kind of Valentines related nail polish instead. I was disappointed but I saw it as a good thing because it just means that when my other one runs out I have another bottle to back it up!
